Real Madrid will reportedly consider a move for German attacker Karim Adeyemi, who has a market value of €35 million.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Karim Adeyemi is the subject of interest from Real Madrid. The reigning La Liga champions are mulling over signing the German attacker, who has a market value of €35 million, from Borussia Dortmund.

Karim Adeyemi was a child prodigy who passed through various academies in Germany. The 21-year-old also represented Bayern Munich in age-group football for a couple of years. But he rose to prominence after joining Red Bull Salzburg in July 2018. And after a few impressive displays for the Austrian giants, Adeyemi alerted several high-profile clubs.

The German international returned to his homeland by joining  last summer. But the youngster has not managed to stamp his authority at the Signal Iduna Park. Adeyemi has only three goals and one assist in 21 appearances thus far for Dortmund. However, that has not deterred any prospective suitors, with Real Madrid interested in him.

Real Madrid will likely see Mariano Diaz depart from the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer transfer window. The 29-year-old has barely featured for Los Blancos this season and will look to resurrect his stuttering career. So Real Madrid will need to delve into the market for a replacement in the summer.

The Spanish champions will see Endrick arrive at the Bernabeu in 18 months when he turns 18. But with Karim Benzema enduring fitness issues this season, it behoves Real Madrid to invest in a striker. And several attackers, including Roberto Firmino, have emerged on the Merengues’ radar over a summer move. And Adeyemi is also a viable target for Real Madrid.

Adeyemi has primarily played as a wide attacker for Borussia Dortmund. And he might replace Eden Hazard if Ancelotti hands him such a role at Real Madrid. But the German attacker can also play as a striker, making him an alternative to Benzema. However, Real Madrid might have to pay the big bucks to sign the 21-year-old.

While Adeyemi’s market value has plateaued at €35 million, his contract will have four years left in the summer. So Dortmund will unlikely let the German international leave for anything less than €35 million. That said, it will be interesting to see if Real Madrid pursue the youngster in the summer.
