Manchester United could send a €60 million offer to sign 16-goal star Rasmus Hojlund, with the striker keen on the move.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Manchester United are pondering making a €60 million offer to sign Rasmus Hojlund. The Atalanta striker has emerged as one of Erik ten Hag’s targets after recent developments with their priority names for this window.

Manchester United’s need for a new striker is no secret, with various names mentioned in the last few months. Fans were confident their club would have signed one of Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen as the window progressed, but that’s not the case anymore.

After much deliberation, Manchester United have decided against paying Kane’s asking price. They are also uninterested in negotiating with Daniel’s Levy for a prolonged period. So either they might make one attempt to strike a deal or hope for the Englishman to become available on a free transfer in 2024, provided he does not sign a new contract.

Then in the Osimhen case, the price tag is proving problematic for Manchester United. Napoli could demand more than €130 million for the Nigerian. That effectively prices out the Red Devils from the pursuit or any other club for that matter.

As things stand, reports from Italy claim they have pivoted towards Rasmus Hojlund, who has professed his desire to join Manchester United. Alfredo Pedulla insists the Red Devils could make a €60 million offer to sign 16-goal star from Atalanta.

The Serie A side are in no hurry to lose the forward but would want terms set by their accord. They may not even entertain the reported €60 million offer, which breaks down to €50 million plus €10 million in add-ons. They might seek more as their valuation for the player dictate.

For instance, Pedulla suggests a bid worth €60 million plus €10 million in add-ons could suffice. Whether Manchester United are in place to spend that much purely on a young talent remains the question. Hojlund has showcased he can prove a handful for opposition defences.

As things stand, Manchester United are prioritising a move for Mason Mount, having already seen a bid rejected by Chelsea. The England midfielder will likely cost more, which may drain a major chunk of their transfer budget.

However, Erik ten Hag is desperate to land a reliable striker and will push the club to move for Hojlund if other alternatives evaporate. With the Atalanta star ready to move to Old Trafford, everything is in the hands of the Red Devils to make their first move.

Not yet a proven striker but with full potential to develop. Worth talking the risk, better than Wogh.
A combination with Muani Kolo will be lightening.
And please keep Sancho. They are the future.
