Romelu Lukaku traveled to Saudi Arabia to discuss a move to Al Hilal as an exit from Chelsea looms large.

According to Get Football News France , Romelu Lukaku has traveled to Saudi Arabia amid links to Al Hilal. The Chelsea star, with 21 goal contributions, will likely seek an exit from Stamford Bridge with no future at the club, as Al Hilal reportedly offered him a lucrative deal.

There have been contrasting reports regarding Romelu Lukaku since the Champions League Final. The Belain striker may have played his last game for Inter Milan as his loan deal from Chelsea draws to a close. He will return to Stamford Bridge, as there’s no agreement or option to remain in Italy.

The Chelsea star with 21 goal contributions missed at least two good chances to get Inter Milan in the game against Man City but will rue those opportunities. However, with his future uncertain at this stage, nobody knows where the striker will play next season.

There was speculation Chelsea could use Lukaku in part–exchange deals for other players, but nothing is concrete at this stage. From a financial standpoint, it’s not viable for Chelsea to have Lukaku on their side due to his huge wages.

Moreover, no team in the market will pay what Chelsea could demand as a fee if they decide to sell him. He has also seen links to Real Madrid as a possible replacement for Karim Benzema. However, various reports suggest the Belgian could join the veteran Frenchman in Saudi Arabia.

Reports emerged after the Champions League Final that Lukaku flew into Saudi to talk with Al Hilal about a potential move. A story on Goal.com revealed Al Hilal have offered a €25 million a-season package, but the duration of this contract remains unclear.

While Goal insisted he flew down to Saudi Arabia, journalist Santi Aouna, this specific meeting with Al Hilal officials occurred in a Paris hotel. However, he also suggests the offer is a bit lower at €20 million per season. Either way, there’s surety of an offer from the Saudis, which the Belgian might consider.

Moreover, Chelsea reportedly want €50 million in transfer fees. However, the Saudi side are unwilling to stump up that sum and may look to decrease the price. With some fees, the Blues could manage their losses with the striker, for whom they paid over €100 million two years ago.
