Arsenal are interested in having the 27-year-old Leicester City full-back Timothy Castagne in their ranks ahead of next season.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are in talks to acquire the services of Timothy Castagne. The 27-year-old full-back’s future has been uncertain of late, and the Gunners could push for his services in the summer.

Arsenal have been looking for a new right-back for a while now. They have been heavily linked with 18-year-old Ivan Fresneda. The teenage full-back has done wonders over the last year and has been on their radar.

But, they are not the only club interested in the Real Valladolid full-back and might lose out on him given the number of clubs that are after his services. As a result, Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Timothy Castagne.

Mikel Arteta’s men were leading the Premier League title race right until the end. But they ended up just short. And, the Arsenal manager is keen on bolstering their squad to make sure they get it done next season.

He believes adding a new right-sided full-back can help his cause. While Ben White and Takehiro Tomiyasu have done a decent job, they are not attack-minded full-backs and lack pace. As a result, Arteta is keen on landing a new full-back and has his eyes on Castagne.

With Leicester City relegated to the EFL Championship, quite a few of their players will be available on the market. And, Castagne is one of the players who is expected to part ways ahead of next season.

The 27-year-old had a decent season despite the team’s disappointing run. And, Arsenal are looking to push for his services ahead of next season. The Belgian international has all the qualities that Arteta is looking for and could be a great addition to their ranks.

The Gunners have already held talks with the club and the Foxes are ready to listen to offers for the 27-year-old’s services. But, according to Tavolieri, a potential deal between the two parties will take time as the Gunners are looking to first sort out their priorities.
