AC Milan are keen on having Christian Pulisic in their ranks and the player is ready to lower his wages to make the move happen.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan want to land Christian Pulisic at the club ahead of next season. The 24-year-old winger has not been at his best for a while now, and a move elsewhere might allow him to restart. As per the report, the player is keen on making a move to the Italian giants.
Pulisic was amongst the most sought-after youngsters back in the day when he was playing for Borussia Dortmund. His performances attracted the attention of Chelsea who managed to land him at the club despite all the competition.
While the 24-year-old has done a decent job since joining the club, he hasn’t lived up to the expectations. Despite his 51 goal contributions in his 145 matches, and a Champions League medal, it has not been that big a success.
And, post the ‘n’ number of signings over the past few windows, the American international has gone down the pecking order. He is no longer a regular first-team player and with his contract running out in 2024, the Blues are open to the idea of letting him.
With just a year remaining in his contract, AC Milan can acquire him for a cut price of around €25 million. The Rossoneri are keen on bolstering their attack ahead of next season and would love to have the right-winger in their ranks.
They no longer have Brahim Diaz in their arsenal as the 23-year-old has returned to Real Madrid. As a result, they need a new winger and Pulisic seems to fit the bill. He could form a formidable pair with Rafael Leão who will start on the left flank.
Even the player is keen on joining the Italian giants and he is ready to reduce his salary which at this point in time is close to €5 million. With the player ready to reduce his wages and Milan in need of a new winger, they only need to strike a deal with Chelsea to land him at the club.
