Liverpool and Manchester United are reportedly tracking the progress of 15-year-old Portuguese attacking sensation Daniel da Costa.

According to a report by Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Daniel da Costa is earning plaudits for his performances in the youth division at Sheffield Wednesday. And the 15-year-old has appeared on the radar of Liverpool, Manchester United, and Sporting CP.

Portugal has produced several eye-catching performers over the years, one of them being one of the greatest players in the game’s history. But Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, and Diogo Jota have also dazzled in the last few years. And the latest prodigious prospect to rise to prominence is Daniel da Costa.

Born and brought up in England, the 15-year-old has decided to represent Portugal at the youth level. And he is currently dazzling the Sheffield Wednesday fanbase with his promising displays on the right flank. A petite winger, he is known for his pacy outlet, dribbling, and ability to maintain his balance. And the youngster’s progress has alerted Liverpool and Manchester United.

Liverpool and Manchester United are renowned for constantly scouring the market for prodigious prospects. And the two clubs never shy away from handing long ropes to youngsters if they show enough promise. The most recent examples of this outlook have been Trent Alexander-Arnold and Alejandro Garnacho.

Meanwhile, Marcus Rashford, who should soon sign a new contract with Manchester United, has been the biggest benefactor of the outlook. So it is hardly surprising that Liverpool and Manchester United have been scouting Daniel da Costa at Sheffield Wednesday. In addition, the 15-year-old is also a target for Sporting CP.

Like Liverpool and Manchester United, Sporting CP’s history of promoting young prospects is well known. And the three clubs have phenomenal facilities to help academy talent to prosper and progress quickly. And considering their willingness to hand regular game time irrespective of age, the Portuguese attacking sensation might lean towards joining one of them.
