Marcus Rashford does not want to leave Manchester United anytime soon amid reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

According to a report by The Sun, Marcus Rashford has taken a definitive decision on his future. The English international does not want to leave Manchester United in the summer transfer window. And the latest development has come as a blow for Paris Saint-Germain.

Marcus Rashford has been one of the rare success stories for Manchester United in the post-Sir Alex Ferguson era. The Red Devils have struggled to stamp their authority in the past decade following the legendary Scot’s retirement. And they have barely won any trophies during that period, with players failing to perform consistently.

But the English international has been a breath of fresh air at Old Trafford in the last eight years. And to think Rashford’s debut came due to an injury crisis engulfing Manchester United in the 2015/16 season. But the player’s journey has not been without obstacles. And it has taken him a long time to stamp his authority as a talismanic figure for Manchester United.

For example, the 25-year-old was horrendous in the 2021/22 season as fitness issues and poor form plagued him. But Rashford has been excellent in the ongoing campaign, with the player scoring goals for fun. And a tally of 30 goals and 11 assists in 56 appearances is impressive.

Manchester United were overly dependent on Rashford for goals this past season. And the Englishman rose to the occasion whenever the Red Devils needs something special from him. But Rashford’s contract expires in a little over a year, leaving Manchester United in a spot of bother.

The academy graduate’s top-notch performances have not gone unnoticed, with PSG keen on signing him. But Rashford has previously rejected the French club’s advances. And the 25-year-old wants to remain at Manchester United beyond the summer transfer window, thus edging closer to signing a new deal.

Recent reports have suggested that the two parties are on the verge of sealing an agreement. And Rashford’s decision to snub PSG and other suitors has boosted Manchester United’s prospects. But it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils focus on bolstering their squad and taking the burden off the English attacker.

Rashy will probably retire playing for United, why would he possibly want to play in another shirt?
