Intermediaries have reportedly offered Mason Mount to Real Madrid amid interest from Premier League clubs Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Madrid will have the chance to sign Mason Mount in the summer transfer window. Intermediaries have offered the Chelsea midfielder to Los Blancos. Meanwhile, he is also a target for Arsenal and Liverpool. And the Blues want €85 million to part ways with the wantaway playmaker.

Mason Mount has been a pivotal figure for Chelsea since returning from a loan stint with Derby County in 2019. The English international was one of several academy graduates to benefit from Frank Lampard’s first spell with Chelsea. And he has come leaps and bounds in the last four years.

The 24-year-old has turned out nearly 200 times for Chelsea, chipping in with 33 goals and 37 assists. But Mount will enter the final year of his contract in July and is yet to commit to a new deal. Such a situation has captured the attention of Arsenal and Liverpool. Meanwhile, Chelsea will demand €85 million to sell the player, with intermediaries offering him to Real Madrid.

While Real Madrid can afford to pay €85 million to sign the Chelsea playmaker, they might not need to secure his services. The Merengues are reportedly closing in on signing Jude Bellingham. And the Englishman’s arrival will leave Carlo Ancelotti with enough quality midfield options.

But Liverpool and Arsenal can do with a player of Mount’s quality. In addition, they might be in a healthy-enough position to pay €85 million to sign the Chelsea midfielder. However, the asking price of €85 million seems excessive for a player in the final year of his contract.

Nevertheless, with Liverpool embarking on overhauling the midfield unit, Mount has emerged as a viable target. Meanwhile, recent reports have pointed to Arsenal initiating the discussions to sign the 24-year-old. And it will be interesting to see if the Gunners and the Reds beat Real Madrid to his signature.
