Mohammed Kudus has been linked with a summer move away from Ajax, with Arsenal, Manchester United, and Newcastle United keen.

According to a report from The Athletic, Newcastle United are keen on signing Mohammed Kudus at the end of the season. But the Magpies will face competition from Arsenal and Manchester United.

The 22-year-old Ghana international has been in spectacular form for club and country this season, scoring 22 goals across all competitions. He has the potential to develop into a top-class attacker. So it is no surprise that multiple Premier League clubs are looking to secure his signature. Kudus is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three and could be an asset for all three English clubs.

The attacker has a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2025. But the report from The Athletic claims that he wishes to leave the club this summer and has already communicated his desire to Ajax. Apparently, he is valued at £40 million, and it will be interesting to see if clubs like Newcastle are willing to pay the asking price.

Newcastle are one of the richest clubs in the world, and they certainly have the finances to get the deal done. Eddie Howe needs to add more depth to his attack, and the 22-year-old would be a solid, long-term investment.

Newcastle have been overly reliant on Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak for goals this season. They are likely to be competing in the UEFA Champions League next season. So they must look to bring in more quality this summer. Signing another reliable goalscorer, who is capable of slotting into multiple roles, could prove to be a wise decision.

Meanwhile, Kudus has proven himself in the Eredivisie and will be hoping to take the next step in his career. A move to the Premier League would be an exciting new challenge for him, and he will look to prove himself at the highest level. Newcastle are an ambitious club with an exciting project at their disposal. They will be an attractive destination for players this summer.

Similarly, Manchester United and Arsenal need to bring in more quality in the final third as well. They have been overly dependent on players like Marcus Rashford and Gabriel Jesus this season. Signing another proven goalscorer would improve both clubs immensely.
