Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are interested in acquiring the services of 22-year-old Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.

According to Santi Aouna, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are keen on having Marc Guehi in their ranks. The former Chelsea defender has been in sensational form in the ongoing season, and there is a lot of interest in his services.

Guehi was a part of the Chelsea youth academy right from the start of his career. He came through the ranks at the West London club and was promoted to their senior team back in the winter of 2020. Post that, he was sent out on loan on multiple occasions to gain first-team experience.

Despite doing a decent job while out on loan at Swansea City, the 22-year-old could not force himself into Chelsea’s first team and only made two senior team appearances. Guehi wanted more game time and then decided to join Crystal Palace in the summer of 2021.

The 22-year-old has gone from strength to strength since joining the Eagles. He has featured in a total of 80 matches and has six goal contributions for Palace. As far as the ongoing season is concerned, the former Chelsea defender has been involved in 38 matches and also has a goal to his name.

His performances have attracted the attention of quite a few clubs from across Europe. And, according to Aouna, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to battle it out for his services.

While his contract at the club runs until the summer of 2026, the Eagles are ready to let him leave if the right bid arrives. Meanwhile, Manchester United and Tottenham have both already made enquiries regarding the 22-year-old’s services.

Manchester United are keen on further strengthening their defence ahead of next season. Injuries to key defenders have caused a lot of trouble for them in the ongoing season. And, on top of that, Harry Maguire is likely to part ways with the club. As a result, acquiring a new defender is a must, and they believe Guehi could be a great fit for the club.

Tottenham are not happy with the current lot of defenders, and they want to reinforce the position ahead of next season. While they are yet to finalise their new manager, the club have already laid out a plan for the summer.

Spurs’ priority is to sign a new centre-back, and they have Marc Guehi as one of their main targets. With Tottenham and Manchester United keen on signing the former Chelsea defender, a summer move might be on the cards. And it will be interesting to see if a deal sees the light of day.
