The Manchester United skipper has fallen down the pecking order in the ongoing season. The arrival of Lisandro Martinez has seen him drop to the bench. Ten Hag prefers starting Martinez alongside Raphael Varane. And, the duo has been doing wonders for the club.

Maguire, who joined Manchester United back in the summer of 2019 from Leicester City, has become surplus to requirements. He is amongst the highest-paid players in the club. As a result, selling him will allow them to spend on adding more firepower.

Meanwhile, West Ham United have expressed their interest in signing the 29-year-old. The London-based club are interested in Harry Maguire, Anthony Martial, and Scott McTominay. David Moyes is keen on having the services of the United trio.
