And the Gabonese striker wants to leave Chelsea as a free agent in the summer transfer window. That is because the Catalan giants are in a spot of bother on the financial front.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been a shell of the dominant striker he was in his prime. During those years, the 33-year-old finished as the top scorer in the Bundesliga and the Premier League. But his stock has fallen considerably in the last two years.
That said, he would have hoped to have resurrected his career after he scored the joint-most goals for Barcelona last term despite only representing them in the second half of the campaign. But Aubameyang’s stint with Barcelona ended in the summer after they signed Robert Lewandowski. And he returned to England to join Chelsea on the deadline day.
