Newcastle United’s priority is to sign 28-year-old Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot amid competition from Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to a report by Fichajes, Newcastle United want to sign Adrien Rabiot in the summer. Signing the 28-year-old Juventus midfielder is the Magpies’ priority heading into the summer transfer market. Rabiot has done wonders in the ongoing season, and he is on the radar of multiple top clubs from across Europe, including Arsenal and Chelsea.

The Juventus midfielder had an exceptional FIFA World Cup 2022, and he has hardly put a foot wrong while playing for the Old Lady in the ongoing season. He has been involved in 41 matches for the Turin-based club. Rabiot has found the back of the on 11 occasions and has four assists to his name.

Despite his heroics in the ongoing season for Juventus, the 28-year-old is likely to part ways with the club in the summer. Rabiot’s contract at the club ends in the summer, and he is not looking to extend his stay in Turin. There are quite a few clubs interested in acquiring his services. Arsenal and Chelsea are two clubs who have been monitoring the Juventus midfielder’s situation for a while now.

The Gunners are keen on having more depth in the centre of the park. Their manager wants more quality in his rotation as they look to push for the Premier League title again next season and are set to return to the Champions League after a long while.

Arteta would love to have someone with the experience of Rabiot in his ranks. Meanwhile, even Chelsea are interested in the French international. The Blues might have spent a fortune on transfers. But they have failed miserably on the field. They will look to offload a few of their senior players in the summer and push for a new central midfielder.

Chelsea like the profile of Rabiot and could push for him. However, both Arsenal and Chelsea will face tough competition from Newcastle United. The Magpies have made Rabiot their priority heading into the summer window.

Newcastle are set to feature in Europe next season, and they are looking to push for the league title. The Magpies want more depth as well as quality in the centre of the park. They believe Rabiot could add the much-needed experience. And, given his recent form, he could help them take the next step.
