Newcastle United recently contacted €60 million-rated Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele, a target for Arsenal and Chelsea.

According to a report by 90min, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United are interested in Ousmane Dembele. The Barcelona winger has a market value of €60 million. Meanwhile, his representatives were recently in contact with the Magpies, with Barcelona considering selling him if they re-sign Lionel Messi.

Ousmane Dembele has endured a topsy-turvy ride since joining Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017. The Frenchman was supposed to be the long-term replacement for Neymar, only for fitness issues to plague him. However, he has found a second wind since Xavi Hernandez’s arrival as the manager.

The current Barcelona manager has galvanised the 25-year-old, who has become a pivotal figure for Barcelona. And Dembele has a solid record of eight goals and seven assists in 28 appearances thus far this season. But the player has a little over one year remaining on his Barcelona contract, with the situation alerting Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle United.

The Barcelona star has been on Chelsea’s radar for a long time. The West London club also attempted to sign him last summer before he signed a new deal with Barcelona. But Chelsea’s interest remains, although it does not make much sense. But despite signing several wide attackers in the past year, the Blues remain keen on signing the Barcelona winger.

As for Arsenal, Dembele can usurp Gabriel Martinelli as the first-choice left-winger. And his arrival at the Emirates will raise the levels of the Arsenal attack. But according to the report, Newcastle United might have made the first move to sign the Barcelona star, whose market value has risen to €60 million.

The Magpies are in the market for attacking reinforcements. And Dembele will be an upgrade on Allan Saint-Maximin and Miguel Almiron. Meanwhile, Newcastle United recently contacted the 25-year-old’s entourage through intermediaries. So a summer move might be on the cards.

Meanwhile, Dembele is also a target for Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain. And while reports have claimed that Barcelona will not entertain offers for the Frenchman, they might have to sell him. With the Blaugrana desperate to re-sign Lionel Messi this summer, Dembele might be an expendable figure. And it will be interesting to see if Arsenal, Chelsea, and Newcastle pounce.
