Chelsea and Manchester City are interested in acquiring the services of 17-year-old French goalkeeper Lisandru Olmeta.

According to Le10Sport, Chelsea and Manchester are keeping tabs on the situation of Lisandru Olmeta. The 17-year-old French goalkeeper is a highly-sought after player and a lot of top clubs across Europe are keen on signing him.

Olmeta is currently a part of the Monaco youth setup. He plays for their under-19 team. However, his future is uncertain. The player seems to have informed the club that he will not sign his first professional contract with them.

The 17-year-old is considered a huge future prospect and his decision to leave Monaco has come as a shock. The son of former Olympique de Marseille goalkeeper Pascal Olmeta has already made a decision about leaving the French club. He is all set to be a free agent in the summer. And, there are a lot of clubs keen on having him in their ranks.

Olmeta has won the European Championship with the France Under-17 team. And, he has been on the radar of several clubs for a few years now. Big clubs across the globe are well aware of his situation and they are all set to push for him in the summer.

Manchester City and Chelsea are two of the clubs that are keen on having the teenage shot-stopper in their ranks. The Blues have signed quite a few young players over the past two windows.

Their new owners and keen on building a team for the future. And, acquiring Olmeta could further bolster their future plans and it could also help them in the present given the quality of the 17-year-old.

While the Blues are keen on having him in their ranks, they might have to battle it out with Pep Guardiola’s team. Manchester City’s current goalkeeping situation is quite sorted as they have Ederson Moraes in their ranks who is quite reliable.

However, they are keen on sorting things out for the future. And, City believe Olmeta could be a great addition to their ranks. The ball is in the 17-year-old’s court and he is free to decide which club he wants to join. With two English giants eager to have him, it will be interesting to see where he ends up playing his football next season.
