Mateo Kovacic has been linked with a summer move away from Chelsea, with Manchester United interested in him.

As per Football Insider, the Croatian midfielder could be sold for a fee of around £40-50 million during the summer transfer window, and he is set to hold showdown talks with Chelsea regarding his future amid interest from Manchester United.
The 28-year-old has been a key player for Chelsea since joining them from Real Madrid, and he is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the Premier League. His departure would weaken Chelsea severely, and the Blues should look to keep him at the club for as long as possible.
The report from Football Insider claims that a number of clubs across Europe are keen on securing the 28-year-old’s services. And German club Bayern Munich are currently leading the race. It is understandable why the German outfit are keen on signing the 28-year-old. They have appointed former Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel, and the German is looking to reunite with the Croat at the Allianz Arena.
Manchester City and Manchester United are monitoring the Chelsea midfielder’s situation as well. The Red Devils could definitely use a quality central midfielder who can partner Casemiro and the Croatian international is certainly one of the best around.
