Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the north London club at the end of the season.

A report from Daily Star claims that Manchester United are looking to sign Harry Kane at the end of the season. And they could make an £80 million move for the England international. Apparently, clubs like Chelsea and Barcelona are keen on signing the 29-year-old as well. So it will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Kane has been one of the best players in the Premier League for a number of years. And he could prove to be a sensational acquisition to the Manchester United attack. The Red Devils have been overly reliant on Marcus Rashford this season, and the 25-year-old could certainly use more support from his teammates.

Harry Kane could share the goalscoring burden alongside his compatriot. In addition, the Tottenham star’s arrival will allow Rashford to play in his natural role as the left winger. Manager Erik ten Hag will hope to challenge for the Premier League title next season. So the Red Devils need to bring in a player who can help bridge the gap with clubs like Manchester City.

Kane is one of the best players in the world and could certainly help Manchester United compete for major honours. While Kane has always been vocal about his desire to continue at the north London club, he might look to consider his future at Tottenham this summer.

Tottenham are currently without a manager after the departure of Antonio Conte, and they are a club lacking in direction right now. Kane might feel that staying at Tottenham would jeopardise his chances of winning major trophies. And the England international will be desperate to compete at the highest level at this stage of his career.

A player of his ability should be challenging for league titles and Champions League trophies every season. And Manchester United, a club on the rise, can provide him with that platform.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to sanction his departure for £80 million. The striker has just over 12 months left on his current contract, and Tottenham will not want to lose him as a free agent next summer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea need a player who can find the back of the net consistently. And Kane is someone who could complete their attack. The Blues have spent significant sums of money on new players recently, and they certainly have the finances to compete with Manchester United.

On the other hand, Barcelona are probably looking at a long-term replacement for Robert Lewandowski. But the Catalan giants are unlikely to be able to compete financially with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United.
