Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Hirving Lozano, who may end up costing a bit more after a Serie A winning season.

According to Ciro Venerato on Rai via Sport Witness, Chelsea have been offered the chance to sign Hirving Lozano. The 27-year-old Serie A ace has had a decent season with Napoli, who could cash in for a high offer. Other clubs are keeping track of the Mexican, with the Blues being one of those.

Hirving Lozano is on course to win the Serie A title with Napoli and participate in the celebrations afterwards. The Italian club will end their 33-year-long wait for the Scudetto. And for their overall performances, they certainly deserve it. Their Mexican attacker has played a huge role, albeit as a supporting character for most parts.

Victor Osimhen, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Kim Min-jae will rightly take the plaudits for their top performances. But Lozano had to do his part. The Mexican has four goals and as many assists in all competitions for the club, making 32 appearances in the process.

While he has not been a starter under Luciano Spalletti, keeping him in January proved crucial. Aurelio De Laurentiis could have caved in and sold with some big-name clubs keen on the 27-year-old Serie A ace. Lozano could have left if Napoli had they been away from the top spot and probably fought for another position.

It was imperative to keep the squad and attackers intact, given where Napoli was. However, their stance could change in the summer as Lozano enters the final year of his deal. While the list of admirers from the Premier League remains long, the Mexican has already been offered to many clubs, including Chelsea.

Journalist Ciro Venerato claimed that Lozano was already sounded out to several clubs, including Chelsea. He said, “There are several clubs interested. The Mexican has entrusted himself to an English agency, who are trying to guarantee the player a salary on par with the current one, which Napoli will see reduced in the future,”

“The player has been offered to some English clubs, including Chelsea, but there is no lack of admirers in La Liga, including Sevilla and Villarreal. In the case of the attacker, a negotiation will have to be started with De Laurentiis”.

Chelsea may have shown an interest in January but shifted their attention toward other wide-attacking targets. Lozano, for his part, will become a readymade first-team star, something that could appeal to the Blues.

The report claims Napoli supremo De Laurentiis will demand as much as €50 million, which may seem excessive given the one year left on Lozano’s deal. Clubs may still have to pay significantly, considering Lozano will be a Serie A winner when the summer window opens.
