Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move away from Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season, with Real Madrid and Liverpool interested.

According to a report from Cadena SER, Real Madrid and Liverpool are unwilling to meet the €150 million price start to sign Jude Bellingham in the summer transfer window. But it is unclear if Borussia Dortmund are willing to lower their demands in the coming months.

The 19-year-old English midfielder is one of the most promising young talents in world football, and he could be a quality addition to both clubs. However, the asking price is quite steep, and Dortmund will have to agree on a compromise.

Apparently, Bellingham wants to join a club in the UEFA Champions League. So Real Madrid are well positioned to secure his services. Liverpool are currently sixth in the league table, and they need to beat intense competition to secure a top-four finish.

The report claims that Real Madrid have met with the player’s entourage twice, and they have had extensive talks regarding a summer move.

Premier League champions Manchester City are thought to be considering a move for the 19-year-old as well. But they are not willing to pay the asking price and are keeping tabs on Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic as an alternative. Liverpool are looking at other midfield options as well, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.

Bellingham has been extensively linked with a return to England. And Liverpool were considered to be hopeful about signing him. However, the absence of Champions League football could severely damage their chances of signing the England international.

Liverpool have had a disappointing season, and the midfield has been a major concern for them. A number of players are expected to move on as free agents, while experienced stars like Jordan Henderson and Fabinho have regressed significantly. Jurgen Klopp will have to bring in alternatives in the summer, and Bellingham is a world-class talent who could transform Liverpool in the middle of the park.

Given his connections at the German club and his history of managing them, it will be interesting to see if the Liverpool manager can convince his former employers to reduce the asking price and sell the player for a more reasonable fee. How Real Madrid move ahead will also be interesting to see.
