Chelsea are reportedly ‘worried’ about the situation of N’Golo Kante amid interest from rival clubs and a pending new contract.
According to Onze Mondial, N’Golo Kante is yet to decide his future amid plenty of interest from rivals in the French midfielder. Chelsea are reportedly ‘worried’ about the 31-year-old’s future at Stamford Bridge, with the club keen to extend his contract.
N’Golo Kante has suffered since the start of this season, with a severe hamstring injury keeping him out of action. Chelsea have terribly missed the explosive midfielder as they have endured a terrible season on all fronts.
Their win over Borussia Dortmund boosted the mood around Stamford Bridge, although their overall performances have left a lot of questions. Chelsea has missed the experience of Kante in their team while selling Jorginho to Arsenal in January.
Kante continues to progress on the training pitch but has yet to have full sessions with the group. He could make a full return after the international break but could see a few cameo appearances in one or more games before the pause.

Chelsea have remained hopeful of agreeing on a new contract with the 31-year-old star. He is important for the club for the remainder of the current campaign and future seasons. Kante was reportedly close to agreeing on a deal, but there is no sign of an imminent signing of contracts between the two parties.
Chelsea are apparently worried about the 31-year-old star’s future. Many top-rated clubs are keen on the midfielder, and there’s also reported interest from teams in Saudi Arabia. They are considering more experienced European players after the success of Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr.
Liverpool and PSG are also keeping tabs on Kante’s situation. With the French midfielder’s contract expiring in the summer, there is the opportunity to sign him on a free transfer. The 31-year-old star remains focused on keeping his fitness on track.
He will hope for regularity on the field and play games between now and May. After that, he might take a serious call on his future and make a firm decision on a possible extension offer from Chelsea.
