Chelsea could pay €100 million to sign Rafael Leao, who remains one of their top attacking targets for next summer.

According to Fichajes, Chelsea could test AC Milan’s resolve with a €100 million offer for Rafael Leao. The Blues consider the Portuguese Serie A star one of their top objectives next summer but remain wary of the growing competition from rivals in the attacker.

Rafael Leao continues to divide opinion among AC Milan fans as he is yet to agree on new terms. The Rossoneri are eager to resolve his contractual situation, which demands put forward by the player holds up.

While Milan have reportedly agreed to his substantial salary demands, they may want to avoid paying up other financial requirements from the player. Leao owes former side Sporting CP around €19 million, something he wants Milan’s help with.

Chelsea have reportedly given Leao assurances over a considerable salary and other demands. The Blues have remained keen on the Serie A star since last summer, meaning they could continue pursuing the Portuguese star in the next window. Leao was reportedly inching closer to signing a new deal with Milan, but that may not be the case anymore.

Chelsea could test Milan’s resolve with a stunning €100 million offer in the summer. However, the Serie A star may cost more, which the Blues might pay if it is reasonable by their standards. Meanwhile, the Blues are wary of the growing interest from rivals in the Serie A star.

Manchester City are considered an important contender for Leao in the next window. Pep Guardiola would eagerly test Milan’s resolve with a big offer and could be willing to pay the Serie A star a massive salary. While Chelsea have made their interest known before anyone, the race for the attacker could pick up heat.

Chelsea could also offer attractive terms to Leao to bring the attacker here. Despite the massive signing of Mykhaylo Mudryk in January, the Blues still considers Leao one of their top targets in the summer.

Leao will have a big decision on his hands next summer, including staying in Milan for the next phase. His contract ends in 2024, meaning the following window will represent the best chance for the Italians to cash in on the Portuguese attacker.
