Manchester City are reportedly considering a deal involving Bernardo Silva to secure the signature of AC Milan forward Rafael Leao.
Manchester City are set to offer a player-plus-cash for the signature of Rafael Leao in the summer. The Citizens are set to push an extra yard to sign young Portuguese forward. According to Calciomercatoweb, Manchester City are ready to offer Bernardo Silva plus €60 million euros to sign Leao.
Pep Guardiola has been a fan of the AC Milan forward and wants to add him to his squad. Manchester City want to further strengthen the squad to maintain their Premier League dominance. Arsenal and Manchester United are back at their best, and they will go all out to break Guardiola’s dominance in the English top flight.
AC Milan, on the other hand, would have loved to extend Leao’s contract, which ends in the summer of 2024. However, the player has not responded well enough to the contract extension offers. The Rossoneri have been trying to agree on a long-term deal with the young Portuguese international, but they have not managed to get a breakthrough yet.
The 23-year-old winger has played 142 matches for the Serie A club and has contributed 36 goals and 30 assists. In the ongoing season, Leao has played 27 matches and has been directly involved in 18 goals. He is a huge prospect for the future and would love a move to Manchester City to fight for bigger trophies.
