Manchester United are reportedly eyeing up a summer move for 18-year-old Belgian midfielder Arthur Vermeeren.

According to a report from Daily Mail, Manchester United scouts have been monitoring the development of Arthur Vermeeren extensively. And they could make a move for the Belgian prodigy at the end of the season.

Manchester United need to add more quality and depth to the midfield. And although the 18-year-old Belgian prodigy is unlikely to make an immediate impact in the first team, he could be a useful option for Erik ten Hag in the long run and in the cup games.

The Belgian wonderkid is reportedly valued at £20 million. And Manchester United certainly have the resources to pay that kind of money for a talented youngster. Vermeeren might not be worth £20 million right now, but he has the potential to justify the investment in the long run.

The 18-year-old is highly rated around Europe. And a number of other clubs are thought to be keeping tabs on his situation. Apparently, Newcastle United are also keen on signing the talented young midfielder. And it will be interesting to see if they can beat Manchester United to his signature.
