Dani Ceballos is reportedly not interested in joining Atletico Madrid and remains focused on excelling this season at Real Madrid.
According to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Dani Ceballos will not entertain any offers from Atletico Madrid. The Real Madrid midfielder has instructed his representatives to cut all contact with Los Rojiblancos.
Dani Ceballos has endured a trial by fire since joining Real Madrid from Real Betis in July 2017. The Spaniard was one of the best young midfielders in the world when he arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu. But he has failed to establish himself as the undisputed first-choice midfielder at Real Madrid.
With Luka Modric and Toni Kroos going from strength to strength, the 26-year-old has had to remain patient. And a two-year loan stint with Arsenal also delivered mixed results for Ceballos. But an injury crisis at Real Madrid has helped the Spanish international regularly feature. And he has turned out 21 times across all competitions thus far.
But Ceballos has entered the final six months of his contract with Real Madrid and faces an uncertain future at the Bernabeu. Such a situation has captured the attention of several clubs, including Atletico Madrid. And Los Rojiblancos recently presented an offer to sign the former Real Betis midfielder in a Bosman move.
