Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing emerging Italian midfielder Nicolo Fagioli from Juventus in a €50 million deal.

According to a report from Calciomercatoweb, Chelsea are considering a €50 million move for Nicolo Fagioli. The emerging Italian midfielder is rated highly at Juventus, and he has a big future ahead of him.

The 21-year-old could develop into a top-class player in the future and Chelsea are looking to swoop in and secure his services. Fagioli could prove to be a quality long-term investment for the Blues, and a move to Stamford Bridge would help him improve further and fulfil his tremendous potential.

It is no surprise that Chelsea are looking to improve their midfield department, especially with the futures of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante being up in the air. Both players will be out of contract in June, and Chelsea have not managed to extend their deals so far. And Jorginho, in particular, seems destined to leave Chelsea.

Manager Graham Potter will need to bring in more than just one midfielder in the summer. And it will be interesting to see if they can bring in a quality player alongside Fagioli.

Chelsea have been linked with players like Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice as well. The two England internationals are likely to cost a lot of money in the summer, and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea owner Todd Boehly is prepared to bankroll a club-record move for either player.

Meanwhile, the Blues are thought to be closing in on the signing of Argentine international Enzo Fernandez. The 21-year-old could cost around €127 million this month, and he could become Chelsea’s record signing if the transfer goes through.

As far as Fagioli is concerned, a manager like Graham Potter could help the emerging Italian midfielder improve. The former Brighton & Hove Albion manager has a proven track record of nurturing young talents. And he could have a profound impact on the development of the Juventus prospect as well.

The report from Calciomercatoweb claims that the Italian giants are going through financial problems right now. And if Chelsea do come forward with an offer of around €50 million for the young midfielder, the Bianconeri are likely to be tempted to sell him.

It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few weeks now. The reported €50 million fee might seem steep right now. But the Italian midfielder has the ability to develop into an important player for Chelsea and justify the outlay in the long run.

Keep dreaming Chelsea. He is a Juventus youth product who bleeds black and white and is developing exceptionally well at Juventus. He ain’t coming to ‘ya.
