Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham have been alerted to Jordan Pickford’s situation, with the keeper yet to sign a new Everton deal.

According to Daily Mail, Jordan Pickford’s situation at Everton has come to the attention of rival clubs keen on the keeper. Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are on red alert after a big delay in the England international signing a new Everton deal.

Jordan Pickford’s career took off after he joined Everton from Sunderland. The Toffees paid £30 million to sign the keeper, who has since cemented his place as the club and England’s No.1 choice between the sticks. His performances have given no reason for the Toffees to consider a move, yet the situation with his new contract is evolving.

Everton were expected to extend Pickford’s contract months ago. Many expected the keeper to sign fresh terms before he left for Qatar, but the matter is still pending. The English international is open to remaining with the club as talks of a new long-term contract emerged long ago.

The report insists that the player remains open to extending his contract. Frank Lampard is keen to see Pickford continue playing for Everton and expressed his desire for the new contract last week.

Lampard said, “Jordan feels very happy being at this club. I don’t want to speak for him, but that’s the impression I get from him.

“I feel we can match his ambitions. We’re a huge club with a huge history and big ambition, and he’s a big part of that. If Jordan feels like that, we can match each other’s ambitions, and in terms of getting him to stay longer, I don’t see that as a problem.”

Yet, the new deal remains unsigned, alerting some big clubs interested in Pickford. Manchester United, Chelsea and Tottenham are all keen on the England international. Spurs, in particular, have shown admiration for the keeper to replace their current one, Hugo Lloris, when he eventually departs.

Antonio Conte has kept tabs on Pickford and could urge the club to keep monitoring his situation. Meanwhile, at Manchester United, the goalkeeping situation is an evolving one. The club are mulling over their current options in David De Gea and on-loan star Dean Henderson.

The latter is spending the season at Nottingham Forest and could be sold during the summer. As with de Gea, Manchester United may decide against renewing his current deal, forcing the keeper to depart after the season. There’s plenty of interest from elsewhere in the Spaniard, thus opening the door for someone like Pickford.

As for Chelsea, they have struggled this term without a clear no.1 choice. Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy have shuffled between the posts, and their futures remain in doubt. Pickford is seen as someone who needs to upgrade his club career, as the Blues could offer him a way into the big game.

As for Pickford, he will have plenty of options, although his primary intention is to remain at Everton. At the same time, the Toffees are expected to agree on new terms with the England international, as more delays will only bring the rival clubs closer to their No.1.
