Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are reportely in talks with Atletico Madrid over a loan deal for Joao Felix.

According to a report in 90min, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United will have the chance to bring in Joao Felix on loan in the winter transfer. The Portuguese international has been deemed as surplus to requirements, with Diego Simeone looking to offload the player from his squad.

Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United are in talks with Atletico Madrid over a loan deal for the 23-year-old. Felix’s representative Jorge Mendes is trying to persuade the Red Devils to sign his client. But the magnitude of a permanent transfer is seemingly impossible for any club at this juncture, including Manchester United.

Atletico Madrid are ready to take a hit financially, but they still want to recover as much as possible for the 23-year-old. Their awful performance in the UEFA Champions League has seen their financial situation worsen. And they might have to accept the offer reluctantly to get Felix off their books for the time being.

But the Spanish giants are pushing to insert a clause which will enable the club that loans him to buy the Portuguese international for a whopping £100 million. And this has been a stumbling block in the negotiations for Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Arsenal would be a brighter prospect for Felix as Mikel Arteta’s flexible system would be a perfect fit for a player like his calibre. The young forward, who loves to operate just behind the main striker, was deployed on the flanks in the World Cup and had a pretty good tournament. And the Gunners have been in talks with his entourage.

Arsenal are also targeting a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk sensation Mykhaylo Mudryk. And adding the duo will add more balance to their firepower. They have dominated the Premier League throughout the season, and Arteta wants to ensure their form does not drop in the latter part of the season.

For Chelsea, it has not been the most fruitful season so far as they are lagging in the Premier League table than their contemporaries. Graham Potter has tried to douse the fire by using a number of combinations. But Raheem Sterling and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang have failed to live up to the expectations.

An injury to Armando Broja has worsened the situation for Potter. And the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager is likely to dig deep next month for a forward. It will be interesting to see if Chelsea can beat Arsenal and Manchester United to his signature.
