The Catalan giants have made their move to sign the 29-year-old, enquiring about his price. And while the valuation is high for January, Barcelona will likely launch the offensive in the summer.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo had humble beginnings, playing for several unheralded Italian clubs. He rose to prominence during a two-year stint with Empoli before finally joining a big club in July 2019. And the Italian international has not looked back since moving to Napoli, establishing himself as one of the best full-backs in Serie A.
The 29-year-old is also the first-choice right-back for Italy and was a regular when they won UEFA Euro 2020. Di Lorenzo has turned out over 150 times for Napoli, chipping in with nine goals and 25 assists. And the player’s progress has captured the attention of several bigwigs, including FC Barcelona.
