Juventus are ready to offer World Cup finalist Adrien Rabiot to Manchester United to persuade them to sell Diogo Dalot in January.

As per Calciomercatoweb, Juventus might sweeten a deal for Diogo Dalot by offering Adrien Rabiot to the Red Devils. The Portuguese defender has had a breakthrough season so far for Manchester United under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag.

Manchester United recently triggered the one-year extension clause for a few players, including Dalot, who remains a pivotal part of their system. The 23-year-old was in the final year of his contract. But the Red Devils have now exercised their option to protect his value to some extent.

However, they will not stop here as there are discussions to offer the youngster a more lucrative deal in to fend off suitors. Dalot’s supreme form has attracted a lot of suitors recently, including Juventus. But the Premier League giants are pretty adamant about blocking any advances.

Rabiot looked set to be on course to move to the Premier League as Manchester United had started negotiating a deal with Juventus in the summer. A transfer fee was even agreed only for his exorbitant wage demands put off the Red Devils. And they duly backed off from the deal.

Rabiot has since then proven to be one of the most productive midfielders in Europe. And he was the preferred choice in the French midfield at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Manchester United are still vying for a midfielder, but they are unlikely to fall for him again.

Since their failure to get into the knockout rounds of the UEFA Champions League, Juventus have severely improved their performances and are currently placed third in the Serie A. Rabiot has been one of the catalysts behind their revival, But they do not want to let him leave for free in the summer and are trying to offload him in a part-exchange deal to sign Dalot.

Chelsea and Arsenal have also been linked with the 2022 FIFA World Cup finalist, who has emerged as a surprising target. Juventus will be pretty aggressive in January, but their chances of laying a hand on Dalot are minimal, as Erik ten Hag views the Portuguese international as an important part of the setup.

We don’t need that player at Old Trafford.
Sell him to other clubs it’s not United alone and Diego Dalot is not going anywhere

  2. Colin Clarke says:

United shouldn’t even answer the phone to Juve, this would be a loser move. They are seriously understrength at right full back and Rabiot wants stupid wages. Forget it. It makes zero sense.
