Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester United are keen on signing Rodrigo Bentancur from Tottenham Hotspur next year.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid, Liverpool, and Manchester United are keeping tabs on Rodrigo Bentancur. Tottenham will demand around €60 million to part ways with the Uruguayan midfielder.

Rodrigo Bentancur has found a new lease on life since joining Tottenham Hotspur from Juventus. The 25-year-old had blown hot and cold during his four-and-a-half-year stint with the Italian club. But he has been sensational for Tottenham, taking no time to establish himself as a pivotal figure for Antonio Conte.

The Uruguayan midfielder has forged a formidable midfield partnership with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at Tottenham. And Bentancur has a superb tally of five goals and two assists in 21 appearances this term. The player’s progress has not gone unnoticed either, with Real Madrid, Manchester United, and Liverpool setting their sights on him.

Real Madrid will likely enter the market for a midfield reinforcement next year. The main reason for that is the advancing age of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. In addition, Dani Ceballos will depart from the Santiago Bernabeu in 2023. So Real Madrid will need to enter the market for a midfielder, with Enzo Fernandez a top target. And Bentancur is also an option worth considering.

As for Liverpool, the Reds are in a battle with Real Madrid for Jude Bellingham. And while the 19-year-old wants to join the Merseyside club, they should keep their options open. Bentancur has thus emerged as a viable target for Liverpool, although Tottenham might not be open to selling him to them.

Manchester United will be in the same boat as Liverpool. But even though Tottenham might be reluctant to conduct business with them, the Red Devils are an attractive destination for the 25-year-old. And with Frenkie de Jong uninterested in joining Manchester United, Bentancur is an appealing candidate.

Tottenham will unlikely be open to selling Bentancur, considering his stature at the north London club. But Spurs will demand around €60 million if push comes to shove. Real Madrid and Manchester United should be able to afford such a sum. And Los Blancos will likely be in the pole position to land the Uruguayan midfielder if he leaves Tottenham.
