Memphis Depay continues to attract interest from some of the top Premier League sides as his Barcelona future remains in significant doubt.

According to 90min, Memphis Depay is a target for a few teams in the Premier League, as his future with Barcelona remains in significant doubt. The Dutch attacker will enter the final six months of his deal with the club, with a decision to move in January or for free in the summer looming large.

Memphis Depay is at an unusual crossroads in his career, where his time at Barcelona may abruptly end. The 28-year-old forward had high hopes of accomplishing more at the club since moving on a free transfer from Lyon, but his contract is about to expire without any sign of an imminent renewal.

Barcelona are open to selling him imminently, as they were back in the summer. Multiple complications resulted in the striker remaining at the club. One factor was his reported wage demands, which suitors deemed excessive, thus collapsing any potential move.

Juventus were supposedly keen on taking him, but other reports suggested Depay and Barcelona could not agree on their exit terms. The Blaugrana were eager to get some financial benefit in allowing the Dutchman to leave.

There are suggestions Barcelona are still looking at something around €15 million from suitors. It will be unlikely, considering the Barcelona attacker will have only six months left on his contract as we enter January. Whether the Dutchman moves out next month or on a free transfer in the summer remains the question.

For January, there is considerable interest from Premier League clubs and, as per the report, AS Roma, who are in talks. The Italian giants could prove less attractive than some English clubs vying for his signature. Arsenal are one of the teams keen after losing Gabriel Jesus to a lengthy injury.

The Gunners are seeking an immediate replacement to keep the momentum in the title chase. Depay is an exciting option. But much will depend on Mikel Arteta’s final decision, as it could be similar to last January when he refused to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are a suitor for Depay and are reportedly the most interested team in the Barcelona attacker. Erik ten Hag knows the player well and wants him to re-sign for the club under his tutelage.

Depay could remain open to a reunion, although a move will depend on the kind of role he will play at the club. Manchester United are in the market for a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, and Depay could fill those boots.

Finally, there is a mention of Tottenham, who are reportedly seeking further attacking reinforcements to bolster their squad. They do not consider a forward their utmost priority, but Antonio Conte could make an opportunistic signing such as Depay.
