Resurgent Serie A heavyweights Juventus are reportedly considering signing Eden Hazard from Real Madrid in the January transfer window.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Eden Hazard is the subject of interest from Juventus. The Serie A giants will look to secure a possible move in the January transfer window. The Real Madrid outcast is also a target for Aston Villa and Newcastle United.

Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid from Chelsea in a dream move over three years ago. But the Belgian international has endured a nightmare of a spell at the Santiago Bernabeu. With fitness issues plaguing the player, he has fallen to the bottom of the pecking order at Real Madrid. And he continues to struggle this season.

The 31-year-old has managed only 229 minutes of game time thus far, starting six of the 20 games played by Real Madrid. And Los Blancos will look to cash in on the out-of-favour attacker in the January transfer window. Such a situation has captured the attention of several clubs, including Juventus.

Juventus endured a horrific start to the 2022/23 season, even coming on the cusp of dropping out of the top half of the table. The Bianconeri also went out of the UEFA Champions League on a whimper, losing to every team in their group. But Massimiliano Allegri’s men have been resurgent in the last few weeks.

The Turin giants are currently on a six-game winning run in Serie A, with the recent run of results lifting them to third in the standings. And Allegri wants to continue the momentum after the 2022 FIFA World Cup by making efficient signings in the January transfer window. Attack might thus be the area addressed this coming winter.

Recent reports have linked Juventus with several wide attackers, including Ferran Torres. And Hazard is also a viable target for the resurgent Serie A heavyweights. The nature of the league might allow the Real Madrid outcast to rediscover his best while still playing in the Champions League, albeit next season.

But Hazard recently insisted that he wanted to fight for his place in the squad. He added that he is working hard to become a regular for Real Madrid. But with Los Blancos looking to cash in on him, his suitors like Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Juventus might fancy their chances this winter.
