Manchester United have approached Inter Milan to find out the possibility of signing Denzel Dumfries, also a target for Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

As per Rudy Galetti, Manchester United have submitted an enquiry for Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries. Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are also chasing the player, and he could be on his way to the Premier League this January.

Erik ten Hag has already made it clear he needs adequate reinforcements to be in contention for the Premier League title. The Dutch manager has only preferred Diogo Dalot on the right side of the Manchester United defence but will be needing a cover as Dalot cannot play all the games in the season.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been limited to only four minutes of Premier League football, and the intent is very clear from the manager. Manchester United will offload the player to a potential suitor in January and will try to replace him with Dumfries. Crystal Palace are interested in re-signing Wan-Bissaka.

Inter Milan cannot hold back a lucrative offer as they are very cash strapped at this moment and need funds to balance their books. Chelsea have also looked at the player as they want to add a worthy understudy to Reece James.

The English international has missed out on a World Cup berth due to his injury and will have to fight for his place should Dumfries arrive at Stamford Bridge. James had been a regular this season and his attacking instincts are something which has been his main strength.

Antonio Conte has also prioritised Dumfries as he has been searching for a player who could join the attack on a constant basis. The Dutchman’s attacking output has been pretty high and the player has already four goal contributions this season. Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal have been pretty average, and one of them will get the sack from Tottenham this winter.

Both Tottenham and Chelsea will be locked in a transfer battle with Manchester United, and Inter will only entertain offers upwards of €30 million. Having already overshot their budget in summer, the Red Devils need to spend very carefully as they also have to address their other concerns.
