Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko has emerged as a subject of interest for Manchester United who also is being targeted by Liverpool.

As per Bild, Manchester United have intensified their search for a striker and have identified 17-year-old Youssoufa Moukoko as one of their targets. Liverpool have also been tipped to be on the heels of the youngster.

United’s recent struggle in front of the goal has forced them to look for a potential number nine as Erik ten Hag is not satisfied with the options at his disposal currently.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s intention to leave the club took them by surprise and the 37-year-old might not stay at the club beyond January should a suitable opportunity arise.

The Reds Devils have already accumulated a young squad by adding the likes of Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia and Moukoko’s addition could pave the way pretty nicely.

The 17-year-old has already lived up to the expectations and has netted six times in the Bundesliga so far. He hasn’t crumbled under pressure and has the knack of shining in big games.

Dortmund are pretty confused with the scenario as the player has entered the last year of his current contract and the club hasn’t yet decided on their future course of action.

They might gain a hefty windfall if they decided to cash in on the player in January. But given their past record, a player like Moukoko could gain significant development at Signal Iduna Park and thus they could convince him to extend his stay.

Liverpool are also quite enthralled after witnessing his rapid growth and Jurgen Klopp wants to add him to his envious attacking force. The Reds will undergo a major overhaul and the management would definitely sanction the signing of this young starlet.

Darwin Nunez hasn’t really fired in his debut season in the Premier League and he might feel competitive if the 17-year-old is introduced at Anfield. Both Liverpool and Manchester United will go neck to neck for his transfer and it remains to be seen who wins the race ultimately.
