Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko is on the verge of joining an England-based agency which is believed to be a huge boost for his suitors Liverpool.
According to Football Insider, Youssoufa Moukoko has agreed to join a new agency based in England. And it could be a significant step towards the 17-year-old’s transfer as a host of clubs, including the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are ready to pounce on him.
Unique Sports Management is an established agency whose clients include Chelsea defender Reece James and Everton forward Anthony Gordon. Moukoko’s decision to change his agent could be an indication towards his desire to ply his trade in the Premier League.
Liverpool have already been linked with a move as Jurgen Klopp is aiming to make the player his next marquee signing at Anfield. The 17-year-old has already established himself as a regular starter and has been quite productive with four goals and three assists in the Bundesliga this campaign.
Born in Cameroon, the player moved to Germany at a very young age. And Dortmund snapped him up as they have the knack of developing young players at their academy.
Moukoko’s existing contract is set to expire next summer. But the German club would use every possible resource to offer him fresh new terms as they view him as one of the hottest prospects in world football.
Barcelona have had a change in their hierarchy, and the new management has been setting up the foundations for a more secure future. The likes of Ansu Fati, Gavi and Pedri are destined for success in the near future, and Moukoko could join the ranks.
The Catalan giants do have a very attractive attacking unit, and adding Moukoko would be an added incentive for them. Arch-rivals Real Madrid could also press for his services as they do have the requirement and need for a young forward.
Moukoko could be deemed the perfect successor to Karim Benzema. But his inexperience could become a problem. The German Under-21 international has already shown what he is capable of and a free transfer to the reigning European champions could be a brilliant deal in the offing.
