Juventus could sell Manuel Locatelli for offers around €35 million, with Arsenal and Chelsea among key suitors for the Italian international.

According to Calciomercato, Arsenal and Chelsea target Manuel Locatelli could be available for €35 million in January. Juventus are keen on bringing Jorginho back to Serie A and may sacrifice the 24-year-old, with Premier League clubs interested in the midfielder.

Manuel Locatelli’s long-term future at Juventus has come under question once again. The Italian midfielder has been inconsistent this season, and Massimiliano Allegri feels there is a stylistic mismatch with the player. The Bianconeri will look to explore ideas in the market and could dispense off with the 24-year-old in January.

Locatelli has impressed in periods this term, but Allegri is seeking more from a player in his position. Juventus have been keen on bringing Jorginho back to Serie A for quite some time now and might make a move in January. The Chelsea midfielder has already rejected a new contract at Stamford Bridge, paving the way for a winter departure.

Chelsea want to keep him, but negotiations might prove difficult. Their policy may prevent them from offering long-term contracts to players over 30. Hence Jorginho and N’Golo Kante’s futures are huge doubts beyond the current season.

Juventus are targeting a move for Jorginho in January as they seek immediate improvements through the transfer market. Hence, the Serie A giants are open to sacrificing Italian midfielder Locatelli to bring balance to their squad.

Arsenal and Chelsea are among the teams keen on the 24-year-old midfielder. In the summer of 2021, the Gunners pushed hard to get him, but the Italian chose Juventus. Locatelli can play in multiple positions in midfield, but most important of all, he can cover the holding role.

That is an area in which Arsenal currently do not have competition, with Thomas Partey effectively their only option. The Ghanaian midfielder has been tremendous in understanding the role under Mikel Arteta, but there is a real need for competition. The Gunners could plot a January move for Locatelli, depending on his availability.

Juventus reportedly want €35 million to sell Locatelli, which falls within Arsenal and Chelsea’s budgets. The Blues are open to additions that can improve the current squad. Should they lose Jorginho to Juventus, PSG or Barcelona, they might see the 24-year-old as a fitting replacement.

The report claims Juventus are not interested in a swap deal with Chelsea involving Locatelli and Jorginho. Hence, any move for the 24-year-old would have to be a stand-alone agreement. The Blues can pay whatever transfer fees the Turin giants might demand, meaning €35 million would not become an issue.

Locatelli might have one look towards his faltering future at Juventus and consider moving to the Premier League. It will depend upon how serious the interest from Arsenal and Chelsea are.
