Celtic prodigy Rocco Vata has admirers from the Premier League, with Manchester City and Arsenal keen to sign the 17-year-old.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Manchester City and Arsenal are vying for Rocco Vata’s signature. The 17-year-old Irish prodigy is a target for the Premier League giants, as his situation with Celtic remains delicate.

Rocco Vata is one of the most prodigious talents coming out of Celtic. He is of Albanian origin but has chosen to represent Ireland at the youth level. The 2005-born star has been performing well; naturally, there is no shortage of interest from top clubs.

Vata has impressed those in charge of Celtic, and the Scottish giants do not want to sell him at such a tender age. The Glasgow club’s chiefs are eager to see the teenage wonderkid flourish into a top first-team star. But the situation is somewhat delicate.

The 17-year-old Irish prodigy is keen to get first-team opportunities. But Celtic manager Ante Postecoglou does not want to use Vata in his setup yet. Hence there is a bit of friction between the parties, although they could find a solution in the coming months.

Vata has a contract until 2024, and Celtic value him at around £2 million in the current market. That price would be a drop in the ocean for the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal. Both Premier League giants are keen on adding the 17-year-old Irish prodigy to their setup.

Manchester City were recently linked with another Irish prodigy, Sam Curtis. Big Premier League sides are always eager to build their youth teams and look around at other clubs to pluck their best talents. The English champions have done good work developing youth prospects. And current first-team stars like Phil Foden, Liam Delap and Cole Palmer are proof of the pudding.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are also interested in Vata. The north Londoners have been operating quite nicely with their youth setup, which has borne successful results. Like Manchester City, the Gunners have been developing some top prospects. The likes of Charlie Patino, Bukayo Saka and Emile Smith Rowe are inspirations for fellow youngsters.

The Gunners are also actively looking at young players abroad. And the links with 17-year-old Irish prodigy Vata are no surprise. England certainly remains a top destination for youth stars anywhere in the world. But clubs across Europe will surely be vying for his signature if he chooses to leave Celtic.
