Chelsea are looking to improve their attacking options, and Victor Osimhen has emerged on their transfer wishlist for the summer.

According to a report from 90min, Chelsea are keeping tabs on a number of attackers. And Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been recommended to the club by their scouts.

Apparently, Chelsea manager Graham Potter is not keen on re-integrating Romelu Lukaku into his squad once his loan spell with Inter Milan is over. The Blues will look to sell the Belgian permanently in the summer, and they need to bring in a long-term alternative.

Although they signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona in the summer transfer window, the former Arsenal captain is not a long-term solution. So Chelsea have drawn up a list of players for their scouts to monitor.

Apparently, Victor Osimhen has been receiving glowing praise from the Chelsea scouts. And the Blues are now keen on signing the 23-year-old Nigerian international from Sere A giants Napoli at the end of the season.

Osimhen has been outstanding for Napoli over the past year, and he managed to score 14 goals in Serie A last season. So far, he has bagged four goals this term. There is no doubt that the 23-year-old has the potential to reach the very top, and he would be an exceptional long-term acquisition for Chelsea.

Meanwhile, the player is a target for German champions Bayern Munich as well. Other European bigwigs, like Arsenal and Manchester United, have also shown interest in Osimhen.

Osimhen is not the only player Chelsea are keeping tabs on. Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is on their radar as well, along with RB Leipzig attacker Christopher Nkunku. Recent reports have also claimed that Chelsea have a pre-contract agreement to sign Nkunku.

New owner Todd Boehly has been quite ambitious in the transfer market so far. And he will be aware of the fact that bringing in a quality attacker is necessary for Chelsea to challenge for the Premier League title next season. Osimhen fits the profile, and it remains to be seen whether the Blues can convince Napoli to part with their prized asset during the summer transfer window.
