Real Sociedad will reportedly soon table a fresh bid to sign 21-year-old Japanese forward Takefusa Kubo from fellow La Liga club Real Madrid.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Real Sociedad will ramp up the efforts to secure the services of Takefusa Kubo in the summer transfer window. La Real will hope to sign the 21-year-old Real Madrid forward permanently, but the reigning La Liga champions only want to loan him out to the Basque club.

Takefusa Kubo joined Real Madrid from FC Tokyo with the hopes of being a long-term solution in the final third for the Spanish club. But the Japanese international has been unable to establish a foothold in the first-team setup at the Santiago Bernabeu through no fault of his own.

With Eder Militao, Vinicius Jr. and Rodrygo Goes occupying the three non-EU spots, Kubo cannot play for Real Madrid until one of the Brazilian stars vacates his slot. With Vinicius and Rodrygo’s applications to receive Spanish passports yet to go through, Real Madrid cannot hand Kubo the opportunity to impress, even though Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of his talents.

The 21-year-old will thus have to depart from the Santiago Bernabeu for the fifth time in the summer transfer window, with Real Madrid hoping to loan him out again. Kubo has many La Liga clubs vying for his signature, with Real Sociedad showing the most serious interest in him.

But the Basque giants want to prise Kubo away from Real Madrid on a permanent deal, which has forced negotiations between the two clubs to drag on further. The reigning La Liga champions only want to send the player out on loan, meaning the talks seem to have no end in sight.

With Mikel Oyarzabal recovering from a long-term injury and Adnan Januzaj departing from the Reale Arena as a free agent, Imanol Alguacil needs a wide-attacking solution this summer. Kubo is thus a viable target for Real Sociedad, with the Real Madrid forward open to joining them in the summer transfer window.

The impasse between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad might soon end, with La Real readying a fresh bid for the 21-year-old. There is a feeling that the two clubs might reach an agreement if the Basque giants include a buyback clause in the deal to sign Kubo. It will be interesting to see if the latest offer does the trick, with Real Madrid eager to offload Kubo before their pre-season tour.
