Manchester City table proposal to Real Madrid starlet Peter

Real Madrid starlet Peter has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Manchester City, who have put forth an offer for the 19-year-old prodigy.

According to Defensa Central, Manchester City are keen on luring Real Madrid prodigy Peter Federico Gonzalez away from the Spanish giants this summer and have tabled a proposal to the 19-year-old.

Peter has been a part of Real Madrid’s academy since 2015, when he arrived from Getafe and has enjoyed rapid progress through the youth ranks at the club. The 19-year-old winger broke into the club’s Castilla outfit during the 2020/21 campaign and has grown into a vital player for Raul Gonzalez’s side.

Peter made 36 league appearances for the Real Madrid Castilla side in the last season, bagging three goals and seven assists in the process. He also played seven times in the UEFA Youth League and managed two goals and assists apiece. The teenage prodigy was also handed his senior debut for Real Madrid by Carlo Ancelotti, as he featured three times for the first team.

Regarded as one of the finest prospects to have come through the ranks at Real Madrid in recent times, Peter is now attracting the interest of Manchester City. The English champions are keen on swooping the teenage sensation away from the Spanish and European champions in the summer.

Manchester City have one of the best youth development facilities across Europe and have been producing exciting talent such as Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Tommy Doyle, among others.

The champions of the Premier League are intent on bolstering their youth ranks, and have shown an interest in Sporting CP prospect Sana Fernandes, with Real Madrid prodigy Peter also now emerging as a target for Pep Guardiola’s Cityzens.

As reported by Defensa Central, Manchester City have already made a proposal to the 19-year-old Peter which would see him join the English champions before heading out on loan to their sister club Girona in Spain to get regular minutes under his belt.

However, Real Madrid are not worried about the future of Peter as they have tied him down to a contract until 2024 with a release clause worth €50 million embedded in it. The Spanish giants plan to keep him with the Castilla outfit for another year before integrating him into the senior setup, although a loan move to another La Liga club is not ruled out.
