La Liga heavyweights Barcelona have reportedly raised their offer to sign Robert Lewandowski, a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Barcelona will be ready to offer €32 million in base fee and €5 million in add-ons to sign Robert Lewandowski in the summer transfer window. The Bayern Munich striker is also a target for Chelsea and Manchester United.
After spending eight years in Bavaria, Robert Lewandowski is determined to call time on his stint with Bayern Munich. During this period, the Polish international established himself as one of the best strikers in Europe while carving a lasting legacy for himself at the Allianz Arena.
The 33-year-old has a staggering record of 344 goals and 72 assists in 374 appearances for Bayern Munich. But with Lewandowski’s contract having a year left to run out, the Bundesliga champions might have to bite the bullet and cash in on him amid interest from several European bigwigs, including Barcelona, Chelsea and Manchester United.
Barcelona initially wanted to sign Erling Haaland this summer, but the new Manchester City striker was too expensive. Lewandowski has since become a priority target for Barcelona, with the Pole keen on joining them. But the Catalan giants have had to raise their offer for the veteran forward after Bayern Munich rejected their opening offer.
On the other hand, Chelsea will likely scour the market for a striker in the summer transfer window as Romelu Lukaku edges closer to rejoining Inter Milan this summer. With Lukaku being a dud on his return to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea will have to invest in a centre-forward for a second summer in a row, making Lewandowski a viable target.
Meanwhile, Manchester United will be ready to hand Lewandowski a lucrative contract to beat Barcelona and Chelsea to his signature. But the 33-year-old will only leave Bayern Munich to join the Blaugrana, leaving Manchester United in a spot of bother in their search for Edinson Cavani’s replacement.

Barcelona’s latest offer consists of a €32 million base fee and €5 million in add-ons, meaning they have gone closer to Bayern Munich’s asking price for Lewandowski. It will be interesting to see if the Bavarian giants accept Barcelona’s proposal or give Chelsea and Manchester United renewed hope by turning down the bid.
