The Hard Tackle provides all the Fantasy Premier League tips for the penultimate gameweek of the season.
After an intriguing 36 gameweeks of FPL action, the managers now have just two more weeks to add to their points tally. With three chips and two wildcards available all season, this is the week to make use of your final chip.
This is the most busiest gameweek of the season as there will be a total of 15 matches through the course of seven days. Ten teams will play two games, and their players will undoubtedly be in heavy demand. Take a look at which ones you need to end the season on a high.
Arsenal’s recent run of form has seen them mount a realistic claim for a top four finish. While Liverpool and Manchester City are expected to finish third and fourth, the Gunners may have enough fire in their bellies to spoil one of their parties.
In the double gameweek, they come up against Stoke City and Sunderland – both of whom have nothing left to play for. The former are enjoying their mid-table position and are not expected to put up too much of a fight on the day while the latter have already been relegated.
With two easy looking fixtures, Arsenal attackers are expected to be in demand, and we look no further than Alexis Sanchez (11.6m). The Chilean has been Arsenal’s highest goal scorer this term, which has seen him become their highest points earner in FPL as well.
There were a few gameweeks recently when he wasn’t at his best, but he now seems to have regained the spark he possessed at the start of the season, and is worth splurging on. In case you have your triple captain chip left, it’s safe to use it on the Chilean.
Their shift to a three-man defence has seen Rob Holding (4.0m) come in, and do a decent job at the back. He is one of the cheapest first-team options out there, and playing for a club like Arsenal should see his ownership sky rocket.
Despite only moving to the Emirates this season, Holding seems to have earned the trust of Wenger, and should be considered as a cost efficient defender.
Much like Arsenal, their top-four rivals Manchester City, too, have a welcoming fixture list. The Citizens have been immaculate in the final third this season, but have been extremely frail on the defensive end. Which is why, we advice against buying any City defenders.
However, there needs to one midfielder and one forward (Gabriel Jesus) in your team. The Jesus (8.9m) choice is an absolute no-brainer as he is expected to start both games against Leicester City and West Bromwich Albion in Sergio Aguero’s stead.
In midfield, there are an array of options to pick from. If you need a player who’ll play 180 minutes and at least guarantee you 8 points over two matches, look to none other than Kevin de Bruyne (10.4m).
While the Belgian is the most expensive option in the City midfield, he guarantees goalmouth action almost every time he steps onto the field. He is also on set pieces and has a penchant to score from direct free kicks.
Two other options worth considering will be Leroy Sane (7.7m) and David Silva (8.6m). Both attacking midfielders will start in at least one of the two games, and are not expected to last the entire 90 minutes.

Finally, coming to Chelsea players, the Blues are one win away from clinching the title, and are expected to play a full-strength team until the end of the season. Antonio Conte has settled on his best eleven, and is unlikely to chop and change too much.
Thus, Marcos Alonso (6.8m) is expected to start as a left wing-back – a position he has been phenomenal in this season as he has managed to keep a number of cleansheets, but has also provided assists and scored from free-kicks.
The other two Chelsea players that must make your list are Eden Hazard (10.6m) and Diego Costa (10.5m). They may be on the expensive side, but they guarantee goals and assists, and need to be roped in.
The Blues have two favourable matches against West Brom and Watford, and are expected to pick up six points. Hazard and Costa are likely to be the ones involved in goal and good give their owners a fruitful return of points.
