Erik ten Hag has a new defensive injury to think about ahead of the FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Coventry City.

Manchester United will aim to reach the FA Cup final when they lock horns with Coventry City in the second semi-final at Wembley on Sunday evening. And Erik ten Hag has new injury concerns hampering his preparations ahead of his side’s latest fixture.

Willy Kambwala, Sofyan Amrabat, and Mason Mount have picked up injuries and will not take on Coventry City on Sunday. The trio has joined Luke Shaw (hamstring), Lisandro Martinez (calf), Victor Lindelof (thigh), Tyrell Malacia (knee), Raphael Varane (muscular), Jonny Evans (muscular), and Anthony Martial (groin) on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Erik ten Hag has been sweating over the fitness of Harry Maguire (thigh), Scott McTominay (knee), and Antony (knock). However, the trio will be fit and available to take on Coventry City on Sunday. He discussed the three players during his pre-match press conference.

The Manchester United manager said, “Yeah, Antony and Scott I expect them to be back. Scott didn’t train all week, partial on Wednesday, today I expect him full. Antony did train the whole week.”

“As I’ve already said, Harry, all game against Bournemouth, he struggled. He had an issue. He had a small injury and didn’t train this week, so far. But, now, he’s back on the pitch. So we expect him, today, back in the team training. He will be available, I think and I hope, for Sunday.”

Harry Maguire will start at the heart of the Manchester United defence, with Scott McTominay starting as the makeshift centre-back in Kambwala’s absence. Diogo Dalot and Aaron Wan-Bissaka should continue as the full-backs, with Andre Onana taking his usual spot between the sticks.

As for the midfield unit, there is no looking past Casemiro and Kobbie Mainoo in the double pivot in the middle of the park. Bruno Fernandes will reprise his usual no. 10 role, while Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho will be the two wide attackers. So, Antony will be an option on the bench, with Rasmus Hojlund leading the line for the Red Devils against Coventry City.

Predicted Manchester United XI: Onana; Dalot, McTominay, Maguire, Wan-Bissaka; Casemiro, Mainoo; Garnacho, Bruno Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund
