Manchester United are ready to give Ajax a run for their in the pursuit of Nordsjaelland whizkid Kamaldeen Sulemana.

According to Football Insider, Manchester United have stepped up their pursuit of Kamaldeen Suleman. They are determined to beat Ajax in the pursuit of the Nordsjaelland attacker, who has emerged as a subject of interest from top clubs across Europe.

It appears the United delegation has travelled to Denmark to hold talks with Nordsjaelland over the transfer of their prized asset. They are expected to table an offer soon, although recent reports also suggest potential competition from arch-rivals Liverpool.

Manchester United’s determination to sign Sulemana is enough to signify the potential the forward has shown in the Danish league this season – having netted ten goals while registering seven assists in just 28 competitive outings.

The 19-year-old’s contributions in front of goal have helped Nordsjaelland perform well in the Danish Superligaen while earning him two caps for the Ghanaian national side. The attacker reportedly needs one more cap for his country in order to be eligible for UK’s work regulation laws to follow Brexit.

It could be a major stone in United’s steps, as far as their pursuit of Sulemana is concerned. The new laws have already made it difficult for English clubs to poach relatively unknown talents from abroad, which is why clubs like Man United have been linked with more and more homegrown players like Daniel Jebbison.

Sulemana, though, is a little more than a young talent and has proved himself in the Danish league. A left-winger by trade, his potential arrival at Old Trafford could mean additional competition for the likes of Mason Greenwood, Amad Diallo and Daniel James, although the latter has reportedly emerged as a shock transfer target for Sevilla.

The Ghanaian can, in fact, play anywhere in the attacking department – giving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer some much-needed tactical options at his disposal. The Red Devils, though, must also shift their attention to their marquee targets, including the likes of Jadon Sancho and Jules Kounde, which could require them to offload a few of their existing stars.

David de Gea, in particular, is one of the prime candidates while Anthony Martial is also likely to be offloaded, as the Premier League prepare for a potential overhaul in the upcoming summer transfer window. As for Sulemana, it remains to be seen if Manchester United’s pursuit of the teenager leads to their desired outcome.
