Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly among the clubs that are keen on signing 24-year-old Bayern Munich forward Kingsley Coman.
According to a report by German outlet Fussball Transfers, Kingsley Coman is starting to become a hot property ahead of the summer transfer window. The 24-year-old French forward, who is in talks with Bayern Munich over an improved contract, is being tailed by Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United.
Coman might be just 24 years old, but he is already one of the most decorated players of his generation, having won 24 trophies till date. At Bayern Munich, he has been a regular member of the first-team setup since arriving from Juventus in the summer of 2015. Initially signed on loan by the German giants, his move was made permanent a couple of years later.
Till date, he has turned out 198 times for Bayern, with a decent record of 40 goals and 48 assists to show for his efforts. The ongoing campaign has been particularly impressive for the Frenchman, who is now in talks with Bayern Munich over an improved contract. And, keeping a keen eye on the developments are Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
The interest from Chelsea is somewhat surprising, considering Kai Havertz and Timo Werner are starting to settle down under Thomas Tuchel. However, with Havertz being exclusively utilised as a striker, a spot could open up for the two positions behind him, which is where Coman could slot in, even though he is a winger by trade.
Manchester United, on the other hand, have a very good reason to pursue a move for Coman. The Red Devils have long been seeking a solution for their woes on the right wing, with Amad Diallo possibly being one for the future. In the here and now, though, Jadon Sancho has been their top target, although a move for the English forward is still complicated, which is why Coman is a viable alternative.
As for Manchester City, their interest in the 24-year-old could be explained by the fact that Raheem Sterling is facing an uncertain future at the Etihad and with Pep Guardiola being keen on signing him since last summer, a move could be on the cards. Having said that, Chelsea and Manchester United have already registered their interest in Coman.
What now remains to be seen is if a three-way battle for the services of Coman does indeed ensue in the summer transfer window, or if Bayern Munich manage to keep hold of their star attacker. For now, the 24-year-old seems to have popped up on the radars of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
