Premier League giants Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City are reportedly keeping a tab on the progress of the 19-year old Ajax striker.

English newspaper the Daily Mail have claimed Ajax’s highly-rated forward Kasper Dolberg has caught the attention of Chelsea and Manchester City, with both English clubs set to send their scouts to witness the youngster in action during the international break.

Dolberg received his first call-up from the Denmark national team for the upcoming 2018 World Cup qualifiers and is expected to make his international debut on Friday against Kazakhstan.

The Daily Mail also claim Manchester United scout Marcel Bout, alongside representatives of Manchester City and Chelsea, were in attendance in Ajax’s 3-2 win over Celta Vigo in the Europa league, a game in which the Danish wonderkid scored the opening goal.

Chelsea’s scouting adviser, Piet de Visser, despite having no formal contract with the London based club, is also said to be keeping a very close eye on the young Dane.

The striker joined the Eredivisie giants in 2015, after he was discovered by their Danish scout John Steen Olsen, who was also responsible for unearthing the likes of  Zlatan Ibrahimović, Viktor Fischer, and Christian Eriksen among others for Ajax.

Impressed by his development, Dolberg was offered a new five-year contract by the club, which he signed in May 2016. The teenager was promoted to the first team for the 2016-17 season and has responded in the manager’s faith by scoring eight goals as well as assisting three in 11 appearances this season. Not surprisingly, his recent goal-scoring exploits has alerted a lot of the European elites.

Dolberg has been praised highly by Denmark’s manager Age Hareide, who described him as a classic scorer with exceptional skills in the attacking third. Similarly, Peter Bosz, Ajax’s manager, has labelled him a ‘real striker’, while Frank de Boer has claimed he is a combination of Stefan Pettersson as a target man and Patrick Kluivert as a goalscorer.

This is youngster’s first season in senior professional football and as such, he has a long way to go in his career. While the offers from the Premier League giants may look very tempting if they do come his way, the Danish striker is at just about the perfect club and perfect environment at Ajax at this stage. The 19-year-old should stay put and continue his progress with the Dutch club before considering a move abroad later in his career.
