Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek return, while Thiago Silva dons the armband as Chelsea prepare to take on Brighton & Hove Albion.

Graham Potter has made two changes to the side that started in the win over Red Bull Salzburg earlier this week as Chelsea get set to lock horns with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium. There are no shuffles in goal, with Kepa Arrizabalga starting ahead of Edouard Mendy again.

The central defensive unit also remains unchanged. So Trevoh Chalobah earns another start alongside Thiago Silva and Marc Cucurella. Silva dons the armband for Chelsea, with Cesar Azpilicueta and Jorginho on the bench.

Jorginho has dropped out of the side, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek taking the Italian international’s spot. Loftus-Cheek will line up alongside Mateo Kovacic and Conor Gallagher in the middle of the park. And it looks like the wing-back experiment from earlier this week continues against Brighton.

Christian Pulisic and Raheem Sterling seem to be the two wing-backs again for Chelsea. And Mason Mount replaces Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the second and final change. Mount will link up with Kai Havertz in the final third. Young Omari Hutchinson will have the chance to make his Chelsea debut against Brighton.

Chelsea Starting Lineup: Kepa, Chalobah, Azpilicueta, Cucurella, Pulisic, Gallagher, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Sterling, Havertz, Mount
