We provide potentially marketable betting tips for Gameweek 6 of the Premier League featuring Manchester United vs Chelsea as the Match of the Day.

The festive period is almost upon us and Premier League is serving us a delicious weekend to feast upon. The fans might not be allowed into stadiums as of yet. But, you can bet Old Trafford will be brimming with hope and enthusiasm and Ole Gunner Solskjaer’s Manchester United take on Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side.

The two teams have taken the first step in their respective story arcs and it will be interesting to see who gets the better of whom on Saturday.

David Moyes will be hoping the gained momentum will be enough to spur his boys on for a result at home against Manchester City. Fulham are still searching for their first win on their Premier League return as they go up against a Crystal Palace side that haven’t looked as impressive in the recent matches.

A wobbly Liverpool defence will be put to the test against Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United as Marcelo Bielsa takes his Leeds United side to Villa Park to face an Aston Villa side that have the best defensive record in the 2020/21 Premier League thus far.

Everton will look to retain the top spot on the table as they travel to face Southampton on Sunday. Newcastle United on the other hand, will hope to bounce back from their toothless defeat to Manchester United as they take on Wolves.

16th meets 17th as Brighton take on West Brom on Monday, with Tottenham facing a tricky away test at winless Burnley. Arsenal and Leicester are both on 9 points and it will be interesting to see how their battle pans out at the Emirates.

West Ham vs Manchester City

David Moyes has done well after a disastrous transfer window filled with turmoil and a far from convincing start to the 2020/21 season. West Ham are undefeated in their last three, with 10 goals scored and just 3 conceded. Their 3-3 comeback draw against Tottenham would fill them with confidence for the match against Manchester City.

Pep’s boys haven’t looked like title challengers up until now, with the team seemed to be just unable to find the right gear. The manager has seen an improvement in defence but their backline still leaves holes for opposition to exploit.

Thus, a clean sheet against West Ham looks highly unlikely. A win however, is something that is expected from the away side on Saturday, with City in quest to build momentum for the festive period.

Favourable Tips

1. Both Teams to Score – YES @ 1.57

Hot Ones

1. Over 4.5 Match Goals @ 3.40

Manchester United vs Chelsea

A game that is too hard to call right now. Chelsea, somehow, seem toothless in attack, despite a star studded squad upfront while their defensive woes show no signs of going away. Their 0-0 draw at Sevilla was evidence of the fact that the Blues just can’t seem to get the defence and attack doing well at the same time.

Manchester United, on the other hand, come into the game on the back of a comeback win over Newcastle United and another good night in Paris in the Champions League.

Morale and confidence will be high in the Manchester United dressing room and that gives them the edge over Chelsea in this early season encounter, despite the fact that United are yet to win at home this season. Expect goals in this one and maybe a penalty or two as well.

Favourable Bets

1. Manchester United Draw No Bet @ 1.66

Hot Ones

1. Marcus Rashford to score anytime @ 2.50

2. Penalty in the Match – YES @ 2.37

Liverpool vs Sheffield United

Will the chosen one come back to bite Liverpool on Saturday. Rhian Brewster is a club record signing for Sheffield United and even though Liverpool do have a buyback option, the absence of Vigil van Dijk presents the perfect opportunity for Chris Wilder to unleash the Reds’ prodigious graduate on them.

Sheffield are yet to lodge a win this season and to do so at Anfield would be special along with being a great help towards boosting the morale among the players. Liverpool’s front three would need to do much better than they did against Ajax to get the win on Saturday, especially with their defence having already conceded 13 goals in 5 Premier League games.

Favourable Bets

1. Liverpool Clean Sheet – NO @ 1.83

Hot Ones

1. Asian Handicap – Sheffield United +1 @ 3.450

2. Rhian Brewster to score anytime @ 4.50

Arsenal vs Leicester

The Gunners haven’t been convincing either. But, they have shown the ability to get wins against teams not in the ‘Big Six’, with their two defeats so far coming against Liverpool and Manchester City. Up against a Leicester side that haven’t scored in their last two games, this could be the right moment to strike for Mikel Arteta’s men.

Favourable Bets

1. Arsenal to win @ 1.90

Hot Ones

1. Arsenal Clean Sheet – YES @ 3.00

Burnley vs Tottenham

Encouraging signs for Tottenham, but Jose Mourinho would be quick to pour cold water on any enthusiasm right now. Spurs bottled their lead against West Ham and it will be at the back of Burnley’s mind as they welcome Mourinho’s men on Monday. Sean Dyche hasn’t been given the funds to add to his squad this summer, which means they are paper thin in terms of depth.

The manager, though, has come up with the goods every season, despite not receiving much backing from the board in terms of transfers and it might just be time for another Roll of the Dyche from the home team.

Favourable Bets

1. Tottenham to beat Burnley @ 1.60

Hot Ones

2. Tottenham to win to NIL @ 2.75

Best of the Rest

Wolves vs Newcastle seems like another tragedy waiting to happen for the Newcastle faithfuls. Crystal Palace should be good for the money against Fulham while Everton are sure to score a few at St. Mary’s.

Favourable Bets

1. Wolves to beat Newcastle @ 1.75

2. Crystal Palace to beat Fulham @ 2.70

3. Southampton vs Everton – Over 2.5 Match Goals @ 1.80

Hot Ones

1. Fulham vs Crystal Palace – Crystal Palace to win to NIL @ 4.33

2. Brighton vs West Brom – Full Time Result – Draw @ 4.00
