Meanwhile, the Bundesliga giants are demanding around €30 million to part ways with the 41-cap Netherlands international, with the two clubs likely to strike a deal.
Donyell Malen and his inconsistencies
Donyell Malen has blown hot and cold since joining Borussia Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in July 2021. The Dutchman arrived at Signal Iduna Park amid hype and fanfare surrounding him. However, he has struggled to stamp his authority while only producing flashes of brilliance in the last three and a half years.
The 25-year-old has fallen in the pecking order this season, not even managing 1,000 minutes of game time in his 20 appearances across all competitions while chipping in with five goals and one assist. However, that has not impacted the Dutch attacker’s stock in the market.
