Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, Tottenham vying for Andre Garcia

Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Tottenham are all keen on signing Reading defensive sensation Andre Garcia.

Reading are going to find it very difficult to hold onto their young full-back Andre Garcia as multiple top clubs from the Premier League have him on their radar. According to a report from Graeme Bailey on TBR Football, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Manchester City, and Tottenham are all interested in signing the English defensive sensation.

Garcia has come up the ranks at Reading. He got promoted to their first team in the summer and made his professional debut in August. The 16-year-old has only gone from strength to strength since. He has established himself as a key player in the League One outfit in no time.

The youngster started seven games on a trot for The Royals before the November international break, and quite a few top clubs have taken notice of his performances. The left-back is considered a generational talent, and Premier League giants are closely monitoring him this season.

Premier League giants keen on Garcia

Chelsea, Manchester City, and Tottenham are all scouting him ahead of a potential move in the upcoming transfer window. The Blues target the best young players from across the globe, and Andre Garcia fits the bill perfectly. Manchester City have built a solid scouting network of late, and they feel the teenager has the potential to eventually break into their first team.

Tottenham have also shifted their focus towards investing in young prospects since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou at the club. They added a few quality youngsters in the summer and Garcia is on their radar for the winter.

Crystal Palace to rival the three giants

While all three clubs have massive financial strength to lure him to their clubs, they will face significant competition from Crystal Palace, who have made a name for themselves as a place where young players thrive. They have already signed quite a few talented players from the lower divisions in England and helped them develop into superstars.

Having snapped up Michael Olise from Reading and helped him take the next step in his career, Crystal Palace will surely be an interesting option for Garcia. Sporting director Dougie Freedman is already at work to ensure they can beat the big clubs to his signature.
